Project: Theatre is Dialogue - Dialogue of Cultures: European networking with Eastern European theatres
ETC residency fellows at the Gogolfest in Kiev, September 2016
The ETC together with Staatstheater Braunschweig and in collaboration with Ukrainian, Georgian and Moldavian partners has planned a new project for 2016 to strengthen and further develop the civic and cultural relations with Eastern European theatres which have been successfully established in the frame of the preceding projects “European Theatre Networking with Ukrainian theatre makers and theatres” and “Theatre, Freedom, Dialogue – European Networking with theatres from Ukraine and Belarus” in 2014 and 2015. Aiming to foster the role of theatre as a space of open cultural dialogue, to display free and democratic values in Ukraine and to initiate and support impulses to develop a required infrastructure in the Eastern European theatres, the program focusses on a series of multilateral fellowship programmes:
Throughout the different scholarship opportunities, Ukrainian, Moldavian, Georgian, German and other European theatre makers and cultural workers will get the chance to enter into dialogue, to exchange working experiences and establish important connections in the respective other countries.
